With the option of air conditioning it can allow the CMM to operate a it’s optimum temperature thus ensuring shop floor temperature gradients are eliminated.

CMM Enclosures - Shop Floor Protection for your CMM

A CMM Enclosure located on the shop floor is a low cost option for any CMM. With in process checks more and more evident in the manufacturing process the opportunity to locate a CMM right in the heart of the manufacturing cell is all too evident.

Many air bearing CMM's will need some sort of protection against dirt and dust on the shop floor so a purpose built CMM Enclosure is an inexpensive option for the CMM. Enclosures can also be supplied for the Renishaw Equator systems.

The CMM Enclosure is manufactured from aluminium extrusion made to form a lightweight, rigid construction. Side panels are made from clear or coloured foamex or PTEG.

Want to become OEM Free With Your CMM Calibration? - Here's How

One of the biggest complaints from customers when purchasing a CMM from any OEM is they find that when it needs annual calibration or a new error map then their only course of action is to pay the large sums demanded by OEM service departments as the OEM machine error map is locked to them.

Well now there is a viable option for any customer who wants to be OEM free and choose the provider of their choice to perform their annual calibration or new CMM error map.

The main component of this is the Renishaw UCC controller. Fit this to the machine with either a CMM retrofit package or included in a new CMM package and you will open up all the possibilities to future Renishaw probes and become in the process OEM free.

The UCC controller series has open error map architecture with the calibration process free from any measurement software that may be installed on the machine. All the calibration process is run from within the UCC Server Software thus providing the open architecture that many customers want but have little of no information on how it can be achieved.

Many CMM probes are broken and damaged every year, a good deal of these could be repaired at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.

The RBE service ensures that a genuine Renishaw probe is sent in exchange for the faulty unit. In addition CMM Solutions is offering this service on the full range of Renishaw Machine Tool Probes to provide a simple on stop repair facility for all Renishaw probing solutions.
